Various companies have been involved in human rights violations without any consequences. It is urgent to establish a system to hold such companies accountable for corporate activities related to crimes against humanity, and to protect victims.

SOUTH KOREA’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENACT ICPPED

South Korea has ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (ICPPED), but national laws for implementation have not yet been established. We urge the government to enact related laws for practical protection measures.

CALL ON CHINA TO STOP FORCED REPATRIATION OF NORTH KOREAN DEFECTORS

The Chinese government is aware that North Korean defectors who are forcibly repatriated to the North are at risk of torture, forced labor, and execution. NKHR demands that forced repatriation be stopped immediately in compliance with international law and humanitarian principles.
